Introduction of international cooperation

The school adheres to an international development strategy, considers the internationalization as a new driving force for the development of the school, and promotes the internationalization of faculty, talent cultivation, scientific research cooperation and professional construction comprehensively. We have established cooperative education programs in environmental engineering and other majors at the bachelor's and master's levels with the famous universities such as the University of Reading (UK), De Montfort University (UK), University of Detroit (USA), and University of Vermont (USA).

Moreover, we have established several international cooperative laboratories, including the Joint Laboratory for Climate and Environmental Change,Joint Laboratory for Air Quality and Climate(JLAQC), UNNU Joint Lab (UNNU), and China-India Atmospheric Scientist Association. The JLAQC was cooperated with Harvard University (U.S.A.), and UNNU was cooperated with Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (South Korea).

In terms of international training, the school has taken a series of measures: First, it has strengthened joint international training for graduate students, establishing cooperative relationships with renowned universities such as Harvard University (USA), Michigan State University (USA), University of Reading (UK), University of Hull (UK), King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (Saudi Arabia), and the University of Córdoba (Spain). Second, it has built an international team of mentors, introducing many high-end talents with extensive overseas study experience, including recipients of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and special-appointed professors in Jiangsu. It also regularly sends outstanding teachers and students abroad as visiting scholars and joint doctoral students for work exchanges and studies. Third, it hosts various English lectures and reports. Leveraging these measures, the school has achieved significant results in overseas study, further education, and the publication of high-level academic papers.
